1 Research and review information including scientific literature on a selected topic in physiology 2 Explain a selected topic of physiology to your peers in a short oral presentation 3 Review and explain a selected topic in physiology in a written essay 4 Compose an exam question based on the oral presentation of the selected topic in physiology 5 Discuss selected areas in physiology presented by peers during the tutorials and in the final exam 6 Evaluate oral presentations of your peers on selected topics in physiology 2.2 Course Learning Outcomes and Graduate Attributes As a graduate from Medical Science you will have achieved the following course learning outcomes upon completion of the award: 1 Demonstrates effective written and oral skills to communicate scientific results, information, or arguments to a range of audiences for a range of purposes and using a range of modes/media/formats. 3 Work effectively, responsibly and safely individually and as a member of a team 4 Gather, synthesise and critically evaluate scientific literature and other relevant information from a range of sources, making critical decisions about the reliability of such information 7 Demonstrate a sound knowledge of: - human anatomy & physiology 12 Apply critical problem solving approaches, current research findings and quantitative and/or qualitative evidence to make/present informed decisions and arguments, demonstrating appropriate recognition of the uncertainty and complexity of conclusions presented 15 Demonstrate a commitment and capacity for self-directed lifelong learning, including personal reflection and peer review
